“Temptress” is an excellent example of an offshore cruising, staysail, ketch designed by George H. Stadel III, and built to very high standards by Westwind Yachts and/or Bluewater Yacht Builders. She comes to market well equipped for bluewater sailing with solar power; watermaker; 2008 Yanmar 4JH4AE diesel (720 hrs.); aluminum spars; roller furling headsail; windlass; air conditioning; 140 gallons of water; 100 gallons of fuel; and good electronics. Her interior is composed of varnished teak laminate with solid teak trim, and her layout was designed to accommodate three convenient sleeping areas a double over/under berth forward with a private head immediately aft; a double berth amidships, and a king-size berth with in suite head aft. The galley is to port of the companionway and has a three burner stainless propane stove/oven; two deep stainless steel sinks with hot/cold pressure water; microwave; and a recent 12V refrigerator. All electrical controls and interior electronics are located at a large, sit-down navigation station immediately to starboard of the companionway. Ventilation and passive interior light is provided by thirteen (13), stainless steel, opening ports, four (4) aluminum overhead opening hatches, and dorade vents.
The current owner, who is second to own this vessel, has sailed “Temptress” extensively in the Caribbean and Bahamas, and found her to be very sea kindly and easy to manage in all weather conditions. Unfortunately, life-style changes have developed which requires “Temptress” to be sold. She has been a well maintained vessel for her age, and will make an excellent choice for a couple desiring to sail open waters. TRADES COULD BE CONSIDERED.

The interior is constructed in varnished teak paneling with solid teak trim. The joinery work is excellent, and the cabin sole is teak and holly with inspection hatches well positioned. Interior cushion are covered in a very functional, blue colored, Sunbrella fabric, and there are thirteen (13), stainless steel, opening ports with four (4) aluminum overhead opening hatches to provide good passive light and ventilation. There are three (3) sleeping cabins, abundant storage, two (2) heads, and a minimum of 6'2" standing headroom.
The forward cabin has an upper pull-out double berth with a single berth below.
Adjacent to the forward cabin is an enclosed head with manual toilet, vanity w/mirror and hot/cold pressure water.
The salon is very roomy with curved settee and oval table to port, and a bench settee and navigation station to starboard.
The fore and aft passageway is to starboard and includes an outboard, double, Pullman type berth.
The aft master stateroom has a king-sized athwartship berth; sit-down vanity; large storage lockers and cabinets; and in suite head with manual toilet, shower stall, and hot/cold pressure water.

"Temptress" is a clubfooted staysail ketch with aluminum ISOMAT spars, stainless steel standing rigging (appears to be in good condition), and rope running rigging (in very good condition). She does not have a "stack pack" or "Dutchmen" furling system on the mainsail. All halyard winches are spar mounted, and genoa winches are self-tailing.
Mainsail appears original, has been re-stitched, and in serviceable condition.
Mizzen sail appears original and in serviceable condition.
Genoa is approximately a 135%, sail in good condition, and on a ProFurl Roller Furler.
