    Oyster Smack Wooden gaff rig, Fly MN17, East Coast Sailing Smack. A traditional gaff cutter ex working vessel. Her year of build is put around 1850’s. It is noted that due to her turn of speed she was actually used as a Police vessel, patrolling the local fisheries. She is one of the smaller pole masted smacks, a solid mast and gaff. For motoring needs there is and inflatable rib with an ouboard engine which will sit under her counter to push her along. She is utilised as a family pleasure yacht. She has a basic fit out below, sitting headroom, approx 4ft. Lovely classic lines with her counter stern and a joy to sail. Length overall including her bowsprit 48ft. An Oyster drudge and fishing gear can be included in her sale.

    From the flush deck step down into her accommodation, along the portside there are cabinets and a worksurface with small sink. On the forward bulk head there is a small gas cooker with double burner, grill and oven. On the starboard side there is a full length berth and then space for another with cushions laid on the cabin sole, if required. Lighting hatch in the coach roof, gimballed oil lamp. In the forepeak her sails are all stowed to starboard and port side there is a built in double berth. Her interior has been painted out. Hatch to foredeck. “Heads” would be a bucket.
