Designed by Andrew Wolstenholme and built by Charlie Ward at the Norfolk Boatyard, the Norfolk Gypsy is a lovely boat to sail and a dream to own. She has a strong , stable hull with a firm turn to the bilge giving excellent seaworthiness and a very safe feel. The lifting keel allows harbours, creeks and estuaries to be readily explored and she can dry out easily if required. She is easy to sail single-handed or with a crew. The cockpit occupies half the overall length allowing lots of room for leisure sailing with four people and providing very generous locker stowage for a boat of this size. All the major control lines are accessible from the cockpit including the roller-reefing jib and two-point slab reefing for the mainsail.
The cabin has two full length berths and can acommodate four people for a light meal. The cabin inventory includes a two-burner stove, swivelling dining table, under-berth stowage, electric cabin light, fresh water faucet, chart table, porta-potti and wet oilskin / boot stowage.
The boat is offeredfor sale with a two-wheel Bramber break-back road trailer. The trailer is custom designed fro the Norfolk Gypsy to enable single-handed launching and recovery if required. The boat is very well-mannered to tow and can be over wintered and maintained on the trailer.
The first owner used the boat very lightly on the Norfolk Broads and it was maintained to a very high standard by the Norfolk Boatyard each winter. I have now owned the boat for four years and sail her in both the Solent and the West Country. She is easy to look after and a pleasure to maintain.
Builder Norfolk Boatyard
Designer Andrew Wolstenholme
Engine Model Yanmar 1GM
Disclaimer
The Company offers the details of this vessel in good faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the vessel.
