The BAYLINER range of craft - built in the United States - a production of more than 30 years. This BAYLINER 3450 AVANTI is every bit, typical of the American style of fit-out, providing both generous and practical accommodation - together with a large cockpit environment. The vessel appears to have been somewhat neglected in recent years and requires a thorough refit. We think the engines may be beyond redemption - but you never know. Be prepared for some work - but still an impressive vessel with some potential at a price that adequately reflects her current condition.
Magnetic Compass - other installed equipment may require assessment to determine functionality.
The systems will need to be checked but thought to be a 12 volt system with 240v shore power connections.
Twin MERCRUISER V8 petrol engines - rated at approx. 330hp each - are mounted on integral 'V- drive' gear-boxes connected to shafts and three-bladed propellers. These are thought to be original to the boat.
Condition: It is the Broker's opinion the engines are currently unservicable and will, at the very least, require reconditioning. Alterntively, it may be possible to replace the existing units with diesel engines to improve running economy using the current foundations.
Fuel tank capacity: 170 glns (776 ltrs) Fresh Water tank: 41.5glns (189 ltrs) Holding tank: 28.3 glns (129 ltrs).
NOTE: Infomration obtained from original data and subject to verification.
The generous accommodation is dictated by her substantial beam. Boarding aft - from the stern platform - through a stern door aperture. The engines are accessed below the deck hatches. Near-by is a purpose-made 'Welcome Aboard Bar' with a small s/s sink. Forward to starboard is the helm console with engine controls and bench seating. To port - a table with seating for 4 - 6 persons - lowering to allow convertion to a double berth, if required. The central companionway leads below with the GALLEY (to Port) complete with sink, drainer, micro-wave, refridgerator and a two-ring gas hob. (equipment needs checking) The head-room throughout the accommodation is generous. To Stbd is a 'Heads' with shower facility. Close by is a saloon table provided with seating on three sides. The Master Cabin offers a large double berth with it's own hanging locker and 'vanity unit'. The anchor locker - accessed from the 'working deck' - is located well forward (see diagram).
It is considered that some of the equipment may require attention and we recommend professional attention to the gas installation.
The deck fittings and equipment include:
- Hand rails - prepared in round-section stainless steel (s/s) - run forward - extending beyond the 'hull stem' - carrying the craft's anchor, ready for launch and recovery. Fenders are secured to the hand-rails and lowered when alongside/ashore.
Other equipment will be provided such that is already aboard at the point of sale.
