Classic wooden motor River cruiser, 31ft with twin engines. Built as a demonstrators model by Brooke Marine Limited of Lowestoft in 1937. Carvel planked Oregon Pine on oak frames with an oak kelson, oak floors and a iron blast keel. She saw service during WWII, chartered by the RN. She then went as deck cargo, to Australia where she then worked for the Australian Navy Flying Boat Squadron. In the 1950’s she was sold out to private ownership. In 1997, she was put undercover and under went a complete restoration including re-engining. Re-launched in 2000. In her present ownership since 2011, in which time she now has new fresh water pumps, a new solid fuel”Frake” stove, the Eberspacher heating system has been removed serviced and then re-installed. The engines have undergone a full and thorough service. She has been very tastefully fitted out with varnished wood throughout the accommodation. She has a generous headroom of 6ft 2ins. There is an aft cabin, as well as a twin cabin up forward,separate heads compartment and an enclosed wheelhouse. Powered by 2 x BMC 2.2 diesel engines which can give her a maximum speed of 10knots, happily cruising at 8knots. Now wintering in the basin at Tollesbury Marina, undergoing some essential work to her engines. Still possible to view. Accommodation 2 single berths in the aft cabin which convert to a double athwartships. Wheelhouse steps down into the saloon/fore cabin with opposing single settee berths with drawer stowage under.
