Contessa 26, well known and much liked small GRP long keeled cruiser. Originally designed along the lines of a Folkboat. She offers more headroom.
This example was bought originally in 1969 as a kit hull. She has a standard fit out with berth cushions.
Hull number 78 but when they got to register her sails she was by then No: 180.. She has the original sails. The engine has been removed, as has the toilet. there is basic navigation gear and electric system.
She has had the topsides repainted,new boot top and anti-fouling. The standing and running rigging has also been renewed, Autumn 2015.
To be sold as a project boat asking £5,950. If you require an engine being fitted then the asking price is £10,000 …. There is an engine available for installation. The twin prop and shaft, the controls are all still in situ.

Presently engine less. There is one available which could be fitted if the price is right. Stern gear and prop in situ. Doghouse moulded into the coach roof. Large lazerette, aft.Fore hatch in fore deck. Sealed port lights both sides of the cabin coach roof.
Accommodation: “V” berth in fore peak. Fore hatch to fore deck
Toilet space with hanging locker opposite, amidships. Through bulkhead. opposing built in cabinets. one for the sink with manual tap (cold only) and opposite one for a galley surface. Two full length settee berths, both run under the cockpit either side, good stowage space.
Vessels electric fuse panel and navigation gear wired onto the aft bulkhead. Steps over the would be engine bay. out to a deep open aft cockpit with two large slated teak topped locker seats. Blue and white vinyl covered cockpit cushions. She has a spray hood and dodgers with her name on for comfort too.
All internal berth cushions are covered in beige vinyl fabric. Internal headroom of about 5ft.
