It is the first model, dated 2002, a new series for the shipyard Dufour, after the Italian Cantiere Del Pardo is entered in the shareholder. The Dufour 40 is designed by Umbero Ferns for the hull and by Patrick Roseo for deck and Interior. Modern without extremism, has a high-performance hull and sail plan sufficient to ensure good performance even with moderate winds. The cockpit is practical, with a storage locker under the floor that houses the inflatable. Convenient access to aft bathing platform, through an opening in the transom.
