The Goeree 12.70 Pietje van Kan is designed by the well-known Dutch designer Olivier van Meer (see www.oliviervanmeer.com)on request of the present owners. They wanted a bigger version of the Goeree, originally a motorboat of 8.70 mtrs., but soon transformed by the former owners into a motor-sailing version. The boat is built in glass epoxy with a 25 mm foamcore (Core Cell), the hull with the vacuum method and the deck is built hand-layup. The boat was build on the yard of Van Veen Jachtbouw in Stellendam, Holland. She was launched in august 2009 and then rigged and finished in the winter of 2009/2010. In the spring of 2010 the owners started on a trip which brought them, after a farewell visit to their beloved English East-coast rivers, through the canals of Belgium and France, to the Med and finally to Greece. Due to increasing age the owners decided to sell the boat and settle in Greece. Pietje van Kan is in a good condition and ready for new adventures.
