MIRA is a very elegant, clean and efficiently outfitted Lagoon 47 that has always been privately owned and never chartered. The current owners purchased her in Turkey in 2011 and completed a substantial refit that included transforming her into a 3 cabin, 2 head (stb head has a walk-in shower) layout. The port forward cabin was converted into a spacious workshop complete with a proper bench and storage. The refit also included a new hard-top bimini with water catchment and space for a huge solar array; installation of a water-maker in the workshop; stepping of the mast and removal of standing rigging and hardware, inspection and painting of the mast, boom, crossbeam, martingale and davits. New water-tanks and holding tanks were fitted; a new 12/220V panel was installed and the boat largely rewired. The engines were pulled for complete maintenance, new wiring and plumbing and the engine rooms repainted. MIRA has 1040 Watts of solar power on the bimini and davits and 1000 amps of battery capacity, so she can live on the hook in quiet anchorages for days on end. Economical, efficient and quiet. The way cruising should be. MIRA has a powerful and versatile sail plan: large mainsail, self-tacking solent on a roller furler, staysail on a removeable inner forestay and drifter/gennaker on a bowsprit with continuous furler. You can rig the solent and staysail wing-on-wing on long downwind passages in muscular trade-winds. Please consult the attached specification with details on the refit and sailing history. A very comfortable blue-water yacht with the waterline length and payload capacity to take you far and safe.
