Quicksilver 650 Weekend is the ideal compromise boat. He wants a fishing boat and her indoors wants a little cruiser and as is so often the case "what she wants she gets". However all is not lost. You get a great cockpit from which to fish and if you decide to explore new fishing grounds you get accommodation thrown in.
This craft has the 115hp Suzuki which will run around all day at 15-18 knots with lots of power in reserve. The engine has only completed around 500 hours and has been regularly maintained.
Navigation aids are fairly comprehensive and include VHF radio with DSC capabilities and a new aerial. Garmin 2006C GPS/plotter with depth sounder function.
For relaxing there is a 2-berth cabin, heads and a 2-burner hob for a bit of dining. This boat is worth considering.
$ berth accommodation (although you would need to be very friendly) with smart fabric upholstery and ply faced wood. Forward cabin with double berth, saloon seating area that converts to another double and a heads compartment with chemical toilet and sink. Admittedly you may have to take your trousers of before entering the heads and go in backwards at that but they have crammed a fair bit into the 21.5 feet hull. Good sized panoramic windscreen allows in lots of natural light and the sliding door to the rear vets in sufficient ventilation. Galley has a 2-burner hob with grill. Home from home really.
