This crew transfer vessel is being offered for sale following an extensive refurbishment programme, including re-painting and servicing of engines and jets. SOUTH BOATS Yard (UK) built catamaran was first launched in 2010. Constructed for wind farm support, including transporting up to 14 persons (including crew) under MCA Coding (Cat.2) 60miles FSH*). The vessel is fully fitted and reportedly under-gone a recent refit, making her available for almost immediate operational use. Twin MTU 8V2000 M72 8-cylinder (V-form) engines - each rated at 960 BHP - drive through ZF2000 gearboxes - connected to over-sized Ultra Dynamics UJ525 water jets. At maximum 2250 rpm cruising at 20 knots with a joint consumption of approx. 280 litre/hr, providing an operating range of circa 480 nm. A 6000 hrs service has been completed. An Onan 13.5kva generator (keel cooled) is included.
All safety equipment is to satisfy MCA Cat. 2 (60 miles fsh) ..from safe haven.
The Passenger Cabin has a total of 14 KAB seats each with sprung safety seats and foot rests. Each seat is provided with multiple 3-point plug sockets for passenger appliances. Elsewhere, areas include: 'wet lobby area', WC, shower and Galley. Two forward hull bunks are provided for the vessel's crew. Vertical s/s hand-holds are fitted with useful adjustable height trays to the P & S seating. The Galley area aft has stainless steel sink, hob and a microwave oven, together with ample storage for Galley equipment, etc, A Heads /shower compartment - is found to Starboard at the after end of the cabin accommodation. Access to the forward deck area is made via an offset door in the forward bulkhead. Equally, this access is to the afterdeck, reaching the boarding and disembarkation points (P&S).
A stairway leads to the Bridge at the higher level, providing good visibility for the crew from this vantage point. Individual crew seating for three crew - with all engine controls and monitoring systems in close proximity.
Externally, the vessel is fitted with mountings for fitted electronic navigation equipment and antenna. Two crew bunks are installed below the main deck.
The following fitted 'deck equipments' include:
- Palfinger PK6500M hydraulic crane - located aft - offers capacity range of 3140kg @ 2.6m to 530kg @ 9.6m.
- A specially developed bow-fender system and boarding platform assembly. Bow section sprung fendering - and other special features - assist with the landing of passengers on/off offshore structures. The working deck areas have 'lashing points' for security of cargo transportation of up to 10 tonnes (deck strength 1.5 tonnes per sq. m)
The Broker has attended this vessel and found a first-class vessel designed for support of off-shore activity with particular reference to the wind farm logistics.
