She has the slim bow with negative stern witch give her very good sailing performance and with a ballast ratio of 42%, it is also in strong winds a very stable ship. The spacious cockpit can accommodate 4 to 6 people. Although she is designed as a S-shaped hull, the keel is kept relatively short which makes her backwards manoeuvrability still very good. The sails are in good condition. Inside the Sunbeam 30 is spacious and offers with her 1.85 headroom in the salon, enough space for four adults. The galley is simple but neat, and she has plenty of comfort on board to stay comfortable for a while. Up to six people can sleep on board. The upholstery in the cabin is new. The hull is a few years ago preventative treated against osmosis and looks like new. Overall a nice ship for a sharp price.
The Water Mouse 2, this Sunbeam 30 from 1982 with building number 124 is a by Miglitsch and Manfred Schöchl designed longkeeler S-shaped ship and measures 2.95 x 1.50 x 9:10. She has been build in polyester. The displacement is 3500 kg and 1470 kg ballast. The boat has tiller steering, the ship has two anchors but no windlass. There is a bathing ladder, a two-wire stainless steel railing. All windows are made of Perspex. The cabin is very light and the applied woodwork is made of mahogany. There are a total of 6 beds, 2 in the front (1.95 m), 3 in the living room (2 x 1.90 m), one of the long bench (1.95 m) and 1 in the dogcage (1.95 m).
The Volvo Penta MD7B with 17 horsepower and building number 35611 is the reliable heart of this ship. They consume about 1.5 liters of diesel per hour and drive through asail drive from which the cuff is replaced in 2009. She has a two blade folding propeller.
