We are the 3rd owners of “Wigeon” and continued her meticulous upkeep maintaining her to her exceptional condition, which has been a direct result of this boats history.
The original owners were an East German couple who sailed her from North Shore Yachts at Itchenor to their homeport of Greifswald on the East German/Polish border, via the North sea, Baltic and the Kiel Canal.
“Wigeon” then cruised the northern Baltic for 3 months each year, spending the rest of her time in a centrally heated purpose made boat shed close to the owners home.
The 2nd owners bought “Wigeon” in April 2009 and had her road transported to Pwhelli North Wales. Unfortunately this owner fell ill and she was never launched, but then put back on the market in September 2009 when I the 3rd owner having missed buying her in April got the opportunity to complete the purchase.
Since then we have wintered her ashore every year at Baltic Wharf Totnes, cruising around the South coast, Brittany and the channel Islands. We’ve loved our time with her but sadly due to advancing years and health have decided to give up sailing.
