Owner speaks : After a first, very eventful, off shore cruising race on my Feeling 306 (Pornic Gijon- waves greater than 5 meters) in the Bay of Biscay, it seemed to us that we needed a boat over 10 meters to cross the Atlantic; to stay dry in the cockpit, however we were also very impressed by the strength by the hull of the Feeling. We went from a Feeling 306 to a 356, simple to maneuver with a small crew, reactive tiller, fast downwind surfs over 10 knots without spinnaker and well able to go upwind with the full batten with three reefs in difficult conditions with its staysail even at 38 knots winds. After 3 years of exploring the many creeks and harbors that are not overloaded in the high season in southern Brittany and with our retirement arriving, we wished to take two years to explore the Caribbeans from the Grenadines to Cuba, we enjoyed 12 000 000 n. miles of pure happiness, we ventured into wild creeks where there was no one with the reduced draft of 0.9 m, and we even made our first fairing without taking the boat out of the water in lost places in Portugal and Morocco. Today we feel the need to continue to live full time in the sun of the islands which makes us wish to purchase a 40 foot deck saloon with short keel but unfortunately not a lifting keel.
