HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:Ebb Tide is a custom built classic motor-yacht designed by Howard Wheeler and built in 1937 by the Wheeler Yacht Company of Brooklyn, New York.
The company, founded in 1900 by Howard Wheeler have an established reputation as American yacht builders who produced many naval vessels during the Second World War.
Ebb Tide has a long and interesting history including a starring role in the television series 'Rip Tide'
In 2004 the current owner bought Ebb Tide in San Diego, California before having the vessel shipped from Long Beach to Genova, Italy. In more recent years Ebb Tide has cruised the Med. from a Spanish Marina near the French Riviera.
Traditional carvel construction, teak planked hull on oak frames. Laid swept teak deck and aft cockpit. Flared bow with raked stem, varnished transom stern, hard chine bilges with long straight keel.
ACCOMMODATION FOR EIGHT GUESTS IN FIVE CABINS + CREW
Spacious Deck Saloon: with upholstered settees to starboard, teak parquet sole, television, heating, drop-leaf table, light and airy with good visability and access to fore and aft cabins.
Single berth Cabin: to starboard.
Ladies Cabin: Situated to starboard with mahogany wardrobe and parquet sole.
Shower & WC: Port hand heads compartment with shower unit, wash basin and wc. Hot & cold water and teak sole.
Triple Cabin / Crew Quarters: Situated to port with three bunk beds, coal stove, teak sole and forehatch access.
Galley: Large fridge, microwave, freezer, three burner gas cooker, coffee machine, fryer, sink unit, pantry and crockery lockers. Teak parquet sole.
Aft Stateroom: Double berth, mahogany lockers and drawers. Ensuite shower, wc, washbasin. Access to aft Cockpit.
Covered Teak Stern-Deck: with fold down side screens, ideal for alfreco dining.
TWIN 250hp GM DIESEL ENGINES (1971)
10 to 12 knots cruising speed at 1,200 rpm, 25 litres consumption per hour. Three fuel tanks, 1,900 litres. Fresh water 2,500 litres. Four 180 amp batteries x 24 volts and one x 12 volt. 6.5 kva Lugger/ Northern Light Generator. Tecsup 24 volt / 50 amp Charger. 220 volt / 110 volt / 24 volt / 12 volt Electric Output. 220 volt & 110 volt Converter.
Electric windlass, remote control. 80m chain, two warp/fender boxes, mahogany guard rails on bronze supports. 24 volt electric winch, bathing platform and ladder. Autopilot, radar, VHF, GPS.
