SAI KUNG: This unique wooden motor yacht is the largest remaining ‘Alaskan’ type of the world famous Grand Banks trawlers.The story of the Sai Kung begins 1974 in the?American Marine? shipyards of Kowloon, Hong Kong.
The Sai Kung spent her first twenty years cruising along the US east coast from NewEngland to the Bahamas islands. She was then transferred to the Mediterranean Sea andcruised essentially in the Balearic Islands.In 2015 she was refurbished and renamed Sai Kung – a fishing village near Hong Kong – as a reference to her birthplace. Since then she offers unique cruises along the Italian coast and islands.
The hull is composed of 4cm thick mahogany beams and yacal wood frame, secured with bronze screws and bolts. The decks and railings are built in teak wood whilst solid mahogany is used for the keel and the stern post in 20cm sections. A truly unique masterpiece of naval engineering.
The Sai Kung offers you all the comfort and privacy needed for an unforgettable experience.With a length of 80ft (24m) and a width of 20ft (6.4m) the Sai Kung can comfortably accommodate up to 9 guests and a crew of 4.
She has four cabins containing 1 deluxe double cabin, 2 double cabins and 1 triple cabin. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms with showers.The main deck includes a dinner room as well as a large saloon to enjoy and relax any time.The expansive upper deck is an invitation to contemplate the sea and to relax. It is the ideal spot to enjoy a cosy dinner and share privileged moments with family or friends. Air-conditioning/heater, WiFi connection, Sat-TV and CD/DVD players complete the comfort.
The tender allows the guests to be disembarked in the most beautiful and unspoilt areas.
The four cabins exude a vintage maritime atmosphere that is as timeless as the ocean.Each cabin has a wardrobe, its own bathroom with a shower, a washbasin and a WC. All cabins have air-condition/heater.All bedding and bath towels are provided and alaundry service is available on the boat. The rooms are cleaned daily.
