Description:
This Contest 48 Ketch is a true classic ocean-going vessel absolute ready to bring her new owners safely around the world. In fact it is a 2004 yacht in a hull from 1977. This yacht has been from new in the hands of just one Dutch owner in Portugal. He spared no costs when it came to maintenance. For instance: Complete osmosis treatment in 2003,fully new teak deck, new rigging and sails 2004,3 New electric winches, windlass, stainless steel anchor, new engine,new bow thruster, All new electric wiring, chargers, generator and equipment in 2004. Completely re-varnished, new upholstery in cream leather. Hull and topsides sprayed in 2003. State of the art entertaining system, New Zodiac Projet 350 jet rib. Simply too much to tell. Accommodation:
The interior has been completely overhauled. Everything is in new condtition. All varnish and brightwork is in good state. All new upholstery in cream leather, very nice. From fore to aft: Double fore cabin, to port the fore head with electric toilet, sink and shower. The saloon with L shaped settee to port and a straight one to starboard. L shaped galley to SB and the navigation centre fitted to port. Walk through fitted to sb with two sea bunks and the entrance to the engine room opposite. Aft cabin with two separate beds. Aft en-suite head with sink, electric toilet and a bath tub. All in spanking condition. The whole interior as been fiited-out with a CLD Marine 2000 Airco/heater system.Galley The galley has been completely refitted, with Corian worktop, double stainless steel sink, Siemens oven/Microwave with an Eurokera 2 ring electric glass ceramic cook top. General Equipment:
All teak decks have been replaced and in good condition. New hatches, air vents, windscreen wipers. Vetus Condor electric windlass with stainless steel anchor and chain. New standing and running rigging. New sails (Except mizzen), Furlex 400S, Selden boom and rod kicker. 2x Anderson 52 stainless steel electric genoa winches and one Anderson 46 stainless steel electric winch for multiple use. Electric stainless steel Davits (Prasolux Barcelona 500 kg) Hydraulic steering with a whitlock console Vetus 95 kgf Bow thruster. all 2003/2004. There is also a Zodiac Projet 350 jet driven dinghy just 8h used,
