| The J-Boats yard is renowned for well built cruiser/race yachts with excellent sailing qualities. Characterizing for J-105 is the extending genakerboom on which an impressive genaker sail can be used. For the sport-loving family this design offers much space, stability and sailing pleasure.
All lines can be controlled from the practical and wide cockpit. The boat has a very complete set of sails made by renowned sail makers such as North Sails and Uhlman Sails, most are from 2003 and 2004. And there is a as good as new gennaker as well. From behind the large steering wheel the helmsman has good overview over the entire deck. The autopilot and compass are mounted on the pedestal, the rest of the instruments are fit on the flying bridge so that they are easy to read.
The saloon table can be removed simply and been fitted in the cockpit. The sprayhood is easily zipped off in parts or even taken off entirely. On the stern is a swimming platform with bathing ladder. The interior is spacious and practical of set-up with many low maintenance synthetic and teak finishing. The philosophy of the yard has been especially aimed at much sailing and little maintenance. A lot of daylight is coming into the interior through the port lights and hatches. Much practical and well accessible storage space can be found both in the cockpit as well in the cabins. There is a wide V-shaped bed in the fore cabin and 2 fixed berths in the saloon. Under the cockpit is more storage space with could also be used as mariner berths. Amidships there is a practical wet cell with to starboard storage space. To port side the card table has been placed with GPS, for the, radio CD player and the VHF. To starboard you find a simple galley. The engine space is well accessible by taking off the hatches around it.
This J 105 is in very good shape concerning her age and ready to sail. Moreover this boat has a shallow keel so that also shallower waters can be sailed. If you are looking for a no-nonsense yacht for an attractive price, then this J 105 lies entirely ready to race for you. We feel she is well worth the trip to Enkhuizen to see her for yourself. |
