Description:
Shameen was extensively refurbished in 1999 with particular attention to using products to ensure she would be as maintenance free as possible. A second consideration was that she should be well appointed and comfortable for living aboard and capable of extended cruising. Over the last five years in the Mediterranean she has successfully fulfilled both of these roles and has been a head turner wherever she goes. The enclosed photos, which were taken in June 2005, show that Shameen is a classic vessel in superb condition. It is with great regret that we now have to sell her. Survey reports are available and VAT has been paid.
Accommodation:
The interior joinery is of teak finished to a very high standard. The saloon has two comfortable settees which can be used as full sized single berths for nightime use. A large folding table with stowage for drinks is situated centrally between the settees. Aft of the saloon is a comprehensively fitted galley with a full size double gas oven and grill and a 4 burner hob. A top loading 80 litre fridge, a double bowl stainless steel sink unit and a top access waste bin are also built-in. Ample stowage is provided by a bank of 8 drawers and 7 top cupboards. At the forward end of the saloon there are two hanging lockers provided with ducted warm air drawn from the fridge compressor. A door from the forward end of the saloon provides access to a walk-in sail locker and general store for food supplies and other items when passagemaking. Below the floor is a fireproof safe. The large and traditionally styled wheelhouse has seating for 6 persons. Sliding doors to port and starboard provide access to the sidedecks. The companionways forward and aft lead to the saloon and to the master cabin respectively. Lifting panels in the wheelhouse sole provide good access to the engineroom. The master cabin has an en-suite heads and separate shower compartment located to either side of the connecting passageway. The heads is equipped with a marine toilet and washbasin. The large shower compartment has a non-slip ceramic floor and contains a built-in domestic washing machine. The master cabin has a double berth, a dressing table and ample stowage space.

Thames Marine 2:1 reduction / reverse gearboxes.
