HALLIG 43
Hallig 43 exclusively for sale with DBY Boat Sales. "Mon Bijou" is a serious blue water adventure/exploration yacht the likes of we rarely get to see. Her owners have sailed her from Europe into the Pacific after a season in the deep latitudes of Patagonia. Her design concept reminds me of the Garcia brand being a good performance, yet strong and insulated metal hull with lift centreboard and rudder.
She is fully equipped and ready to go after sailing into Australia. She has been imported with duty and tax paid.
The lift keel and rudder are a huge advantage allowing owners to explore the shallower areas of shoaling bays, bar crossings as well as suiting tidal waterfront jetties.
She can safely sit on her keel allowing routine low cost maintenance.
Her hull is made of high strength, corrosion resistance Corten steel that has been sheathed from the factory in GRP. Her finish is amazing and no rust.
Her lines are round bilge with a powerful wide stern and cockpit. This along with her deep drop keel give amazing stability and good daily averages.
Inside she is very comfortable and dry. Lots of handholds and supports to stay comfortable and snug in big seas.
No expense has been spared on equipment for extended off grid high latitude sailing.
Designed to be handled shorthanded she features a powerful autopilot, electric winches and multiple furling sail options.
There is no compromise on safety or electronics.
So "Mon Bijou" is the real and rare deal of 'go turn key and go and live your dream'.
Priced at a quarter of anything similar new, she will not last long.
