    Boat Name: White Moth
    Location: Queenborough, Kent, GB
    Year: 1903
    Condition: Well Maintained
    Category: Sail
    Class: Antique and Classics
    Keel Type: Full Keel

White Moth, a genuine Classic Gaff Ketch, launched 1903. Built on the Thames at Bourne End, designed by Mr John Pain Clarke of Burnham on Crouch. We have a 2012 survey for reference, a keel bolt was drawn and found to be in very good condition.
The vessel went through an extensive restoration in 1992-3 and has since been kept very well maintained and in good order.
Her hull is carvel planked of Kauri Pine, floors and frames of oak. Long keel draws 4ft 6ins, with lead trimming ballast attached. Her sails all parchment white.
Her masts and spars are varnished Douglas Fir.
She has an auxiliary inboard engine Lister Alpha, 20hp
White Moth has been kept sailing as a beautiful Classic, a member of the Old Gaffers Association. Below deck sit’s all rather minimal for facilities and not her original interior.
There are 2 full length settee berths. Forward there is sail storage and the Baby Blake heads. There is a full size chart table and small galley area.
Comfortable stylish cruising for a couple.
