The Grand Banks 42 Europa is in a class of it's own, superb build quality and timeless design.
Engineered and built for a lifetimes use, this boat despite it's years is still very much in it's infancy.
Classic Caterpillar 3208NA V8 diesels with just 3300 hours, these engines have just been 'run in'. Frugal fuel consumption using 2.5 Litres a mile at 8 Knots, these engines will run and run and run. The current owner's engineer continues to be amazed by the zero use of oil and fluids over a seasons use.
Fully serviced including all anodes, these engines are in phenomenal condition and have thousands of hours ahead of them.
She runs an Onan 6KW generator with just 800 hours that is almost silent when running, very useful as she is fully electric ( oven, hob & hot water ) which makes life onboard completely effortless.
The boat has a feeling of superb quality, totally robust yet exceptionally light and 'airy'.
In addition to the spacious saloon it links, at the same level via sliding doors, to a wonderful aft deck that can be made totally sheltered and becomes a second saloon. In addition to the two generous living spaces the boat has an enormous fly bridge with simply 'acres' of space all laid to teak that's in the most perfect condition.
She has enjoyed a totally privileged life spending the first thirty years of her life mostly in fresh or 'brackish' water, and every winter in covered storage heated to 70 degrees. The previous Dutch owner used her very lightly, plugged into shore power and cruised the inland waterways of Holland.
This boat is of simply exceptional quality throughout from the beautiful parquet floors, to the depth and quality of all the materials used.
