The islands are influenced by many different cultures and you can feel the vibrant and diverse flair with plenty of monuments and historic sights.

Cephalonia - Fiskardo
Fiskardo is a neat little harbour town located to the North of Cephalonia. Stylish restaurants and cafes as well as the rich Mediterranean atmosphere make this place worth to visit. You will find diverse food which is better than average. The Cafe Tselenti even served as inspiration for the movie “Captain Corelli's Mandolin”.

1.2 The Cyclades Islands
The Cyclades Islands are among the very favorite destinations for boating enthusiasts. It has to be mentioned though, that the Cyclades are under effect of strong winds from the north, called the meltemi. Therefore, these waters are difficult to sail and not recommended for inexperienced sailors. Nonetheless, they are almost ideal for island hopping with your motor boat or sail boat. The whole region is not too crowded and tourism does not really harm the flair of the islands.
Santorini
Santorini is clearly known as one of the prime destinations of Greece and of the whole Mediterranean. The island has picturesque panoramas, scenic houses, windmills and hilly towns. However, for the travelling yachtsman, the island is rather difficult to explore and to enjoy due to a lack of yacht infrastructure. Nevertheless, we had to include this amazing destination in our ultimate bucket list, as you have to see it at least once in your life.
Berths
Santorini has only one harbour called Vlychada. It used to be a marina, but is now packed with fishing vessels and charter catamarans. Silting is also an issue and the harbour is nowhere near the beautiful spots Santorini is known for. The best option would be to visit Santorini without your boat and take your boat to the other beautiful destinations in Greece.

Naxos
Naxos is a rather large island that invites you with a neat old town that also has a harbour providing good shelter. It is definitely worth to explore the settlement. Nice restaurants and shops offer extraordinary food. Make sure to visit The Spice and The Spice and Cheese Shop as well as The Beer House and the nice and sandy beaches. The ruins, located on a small peninsula before the town, are worth to visit as well and give some spectacular photo opportunities. Make also sure to get some good pictures of Naxos Castle.
Berths
You could use the Naxos commercial harbour, but it is noisy and quite exposed to the meltemi. The better option would be the Naxos Marina. The marina is fairly new, most of the moorings are laid and it is well sheltered. Water and electricity are provided as well.

Naxos can be visited all year round, but late spring or early autumn are definitely the most beautiful months. You should avoid peak season during summer time, if you do not want to stumble into many tourists.
Syros - Ermoupolis
Ermoupolis is the biggest and maybe the most beautiful town on the island. Fabulous taverns are spread all over the settlement. Good shopping opportunities and the beautiful view invite you to spend time to relax. In addition, make sure to climb the hill and visit the historic monastery.

You can moor along the quay. If you do so, however, make sure to secure your boat properly as ferry wash can be a problem. Another option would be the marina that already is usable, but not yet officially operating.

Monemvasia
Monemvasia is a place that you simply have to visit when you get the chance. The well preserved medieval village sits on a small mountainous peninsula that is only reachable by a causeway. This place is truly special and unique. Picturesque ruins can be found on top of the mountain that makes up the biggest part of the peninsula. The ruins are well worth climbing the stairs.
Berths
Yachtsmen have several options when it comes to berthing: The Monemvasia Harbour provides rather uncomfortable but secure spots. However, most of the spots are full of commercial vessels. You can also berth at the Monemvasia Marina, a small marina only a mile south of the sights. Bigger yachts can moor at the outer side of the quay, but bad holding is an issue here. There are also several anchorages around such as at the South of the harbour, in the Northwest corner of the Monemvasia bay.

Indisputably, Rhodes is one of the most recognized islands in the Mediterranean. With its beaches, colorful houses and ancient structures, it is a magnet for tourists. Mount Athos
Mount Athos is called the “holy mountain” and its monasteries are extraordinarily beautiful and will create an experience that lasts a lifetime. However, women are not allowed within 500 meters around the shore. Visitors usually have to take a ferry to Mount Athos. Normal “tourists” are also not allowed there, you need a special permit called “Diamonētērion” and different variants exist. As those restrictions may seem deterrent, going through them will be rewarded with unforgettable memories about a place full of history and extraordinary cultural heritage.
- Italy
Regarded by many as one of the most beautiful countries in the entire world, Italy truly is extraordinarily rich of natural as well as cultural sights. Green and rich flora characterizes the North, rugged beauty the South. Italy has many faces, but all of its regions are unique and uniquely Italian. Historic sites dating back to the Romans and medieval wealth as well as baroque extravaganza make Italy one of the most interesting places to visit in the Mediterranean and around the world.
Venice
Undisputedly, Venice is one of the most popular and most beautiful cities in the entire world. And since it obviously can be reached by boat, we could not leave it out of our list. From all cities in our list, Venice is probably the one that least needs an introduction. It is one of the most romantic places around the earth and impressive structures are paired with an unexplainable charm. The Venetian Lagoon is picturesque and chic but you can also discover the other islands like the lovely Grado and Jesolo or the Friuli region in the north of Venice, or simply Murano and its colourful houses.

This town is ideal for relaxing in the Mediterranean atmosphere, where you can feel the typical southern Italian beauty. Having the marina located outside town just adds to the medieval flair as it is not spoiled by modern moorings. Ruins of old fortifications can be visited on top of the mountain.

You can either just anchor or go to the Porto Nuovo, which is a marina located outside the town on the other side of the mountain.
