The GS80 is offered in two versions, glass/carbon or full carbon construction.
The first hull signed is the GS 80 Custom designed in collaboration with the Italian naval architect Giovanni Ceccarelli. The 1st hull and deck will be made completely in carbon fiber and will be dedicated to the racing world, yet with a comfort of a cruiser.
A new production of this kind brought Cantiere del Pardo to open a new shipyard in Fano and will mainly provide small series of semi custom production, using by request different materials for the hull and deck, starting from carbon fiber up to fiber glass, while the interiors will be completely customized by the request of the owners.
The Grand Soleil 80 Custom Line represents the ultimate development of a GS custom-made performance boat that follow the philosophy of the latest models in a bigger size.
The GS 80’ will utilize the newest construction techniques adopted in Grand Soleil in the most recent performance and long cruise generations, using cutting edge technologies and hi-tech materials as epoxyvinylester with carbon fiber reinforcements for strength, stiffness and stability. This project will be developed once again with the leading Italian designers Nauta Yachts that will design the interior and exterior and the well-known Italian naval architect, Giovanni Ceccarelli. The design team, together with the Cantiere Del Pardo expertise will produce another full passion sailing yacht for passionate sailors, completely ‘Made in Italy’.
Interior style & finish
From the standard layout, to the smallest details, everything will be carefully chosen to ensure high quality, best design, luxuries and comfort.
A wide variety of interior surface finishes, materials and colors are offered as part of the customization.
The standard Oak wood can be replaced with optional Teak on request. The ceiling in covered with a special light cloth made of high quality material for long lasting. All walls near the beds are covered with beautiful nice to touch cloth with integrated reading lights and panels. Stainless steel handles, working place, beauty desk and accessories are covered with leather that will match the each color and style chosen by the owner. a convertible saloon table for extra double berth with cushions can be added on request.
The GS 80’ can be built with different lay out. On this matter we invite our Customers to discuss with our designers to finalize the best solution “tailor made” on yours wishes.
Cushions/mattresses are high quality dual density cold foam as standard. Other mattresses and adjustable systems are available on request. Cushions are upholstered in a durable fabric as standard and are available in a range of colors, luxurious microfiber fabric is available as an option, as well as a range of leather and other fabrics.
LED lighting fitted as standard, including spot lights, strip lighting in ceiling, on side walls, under furniture and inside the closets.
Low level courtesy lighting and red lighting over the navigation station fitted as standard.
Low level courtesy lighting in the cockpit and boom are standard. The forward section of the cockpit can be light either from boom lights and spreaders.
Lights all around the bulwark and under water can be installed on request.
Foredeck flood light optional.
LED navigation masthead lights (Tricolor) fitted as standard.
Engine & propulsion
Standard engine 260 hp mounted to the hull structure using vibration reducing shock mounts. The std three blade folding propeller shaft coupled to gearbox with an aqua drive to reduce vibrations. A ‘dry’ exhaust system is fitted as standard which includes a gas/water separator in the engine room. In addition to the front stairway, there are two openings on the sides of the engine room for easy maintenance. The control panel of the engine is positioned in a recess in the side of the steering console. A
single lever remote control is conveniently located near the control panel. A retractable std bow thruster and the opt stern thruster can be integrated into a easy docking system on request (opt). std bow thruster botton is located on the starboard helm pedestal. As standard, the engine is fitted with an alternator for charging the engine start battery. As standard single electronic throttle control is mounted on starboard helm pedestal. Optional second throttle for port helm pedestal.
The fuel and freshwater tanks are located below the main saloon floor boards in the center of the boat. This low, central location is ideal for comfortable sea-keeping.
The total capacity of the diesel tanks is of about 1200 liters (TBC) in polyethylene CE certificated. All the tanks are provided with valves, inlets, and level indicator. As standard a dual fuel filter is fitted with water separator. Total water capacity is approximately1000 liters in polyethylene CE certificated. Extra 250 lt (fuel or water)
approx can be added by request.
A pressurized hot and cold water system is used throughout the boat. Boiler capacity of approximately 75liter. Water can be heated using the engine, or with the 240V immersion heater which can run off shore power or the generator. fresh and sea water foot pump at sink can be added on request.
Black water system
As standard, electric silent toilets are fitted in each head. Black water tanks are installed in all the heads.
Two inlet manifolds simplify the skin fittings used on the GS 80. One inlet services the engine, generator and air conditioning, the second services the heads, refrigeration and salt water inlet. All seacocks are corrosion resistant brass.

Electrical system 230v
The shore power system consists of a 32A stainless steel shore power intake in the cockpit, a 30m high flexible shore power cable and a 32A main circuit breaker fitted in the aft locker.
A 230V distribution panel is located at the chart table and has built in RCD relay, shorepower/generator power selector switch, voltmeter and 4 AC circuit breakers for Hot water, 230Vsockets, optional A/C system and optional water-maker.
The boat is as standard fitted with 230V sockets, one in each cabin, one in the galley and one at the navigation table. Power to all sockets are automatically switched between the inverter and the shore power.
The electrical panel also includes a digital monitoring panel where the load of the combi and the shore power can be monitored.
MAST & RIGGING
Carbon mast and boom in accordance with the design specifications, mast and boom are painted matt black.
Foldable steps on the mast for access to the boom.
Stainless steel chainplates for split backstay & laminated chainplates for forestay and lateral rigging.
Mainsail track on the mast. Sheaves for main, gangway/boom-lift, spinnaker, genoa and inner forestay.
Anchor light, combined deck and steaming light Windex with light.
Lazy jacks fitted as standard.

The furling drum recessed below deck is electric.

BACKSTAY & VANG
Standard hydraulic system with 4 ways for: backstay, boom vang, main sail outhaul. An optional way for jib halyard tensioner can be added on request.
HULL AND DECK CONSTRUCTION
The hull and deck are made of sandwich with biaxial and unidirectional glass fabrics impregnated with Epoxyvinylester resin. The high-stress areas, such as the ones surrounding the keel, crash bow, and other stressed areas are reinforced with unidirectional and biaxial carbon fibres and dedicated structures.
The hull is reinforced with floors and longitudinal girders in way of the bottom and with stringers in way of the sides.
The hull and the deck are joined using structural adhesive. The bonding is made from inside the boat.
The chain plates reinforcement structures will be built in composite materials incorporated into the hull shell. The chain plates for the head stay and for the backstays are built in stainless steel.
The standard finishing of the exterior surfaces is in white Gelcoat with antifouling (color to be decided) and silver metallic hull stripes. On request, it is possible to paint the hull in different colors.
All bulkheads have a sandwich construction with skins made of unidirectional and biaxial E-glass and carbon fibres in the base laminate on vacuum tables with foam sandwich core. The bulkheads are glued and laminated to the hull.
The following bulkheads will be watertight:
- Forepeak forward collision bulkhead.
- Lazzarette bulkhead.
The deck design of the GS 80 Custom Line give to the boat a sleek and elegant profile with a comfortable guest area separated from the maneuvering cockpit.
The deck is a hand lay-up, full sandwich construction. The foam provides strength and insulation.
The deck uses an Epoxy vinyl ester resin with mainly biaxial E-glass layers and carbon fiber reinforcements.
All the cockpit areas, the running deck and the coachroof are covered with high quality natural teak, vacuum applied with black caulking. Grey calking or synthetic teak are optional.
TENDER GARAGE / BATHING PLATFORM
The GS 80 has a large tender garage, and has been designed to make it easy to launch. The hydraulic opening transom allows access to the sea and to the tender garage and the transom door doubles up as a comfortable bathing platform covered with teak.
The cockpit offers a huge choice of options to create customized sailing and outdoor entertaining areas, including a comprehensive range of Biminis. The sprayhood is standard and a range of cockpit cushions, fabrics and colors can be added upon request.
In the centre cockpit it is possible to have one table in teak with stainless steel legs or 2 separated tables that can be lowered to create a bigger sunbathing area
Low level LED courtesy lighting fitted throughout the cockpit and in boom are standard and it is possible to add under water, bulwark and spreader LED lights on request.
The keel is a standard fixed-type with a “T” shape configuration, and is composed of cast iron and lead torpedo. A reduced keel draft or a telescopic keel are optional.
Self tacking Jib on foredeck is a standard and it is possible to add jib tracks on deck (port & starboard) according to the lengths and positions stated on the deck plan (opt). Genoa cars with plunger stops.
The standard main sail sheet has an electric mainsail track system operated from the steering console.
Clutches and relative deck organizers are installed as designed, it is possible to upgrade the Spinlock clutches with Jammer Antal, Lines led back to aft cockpit coamings and all the blocks needed to complete the deck equipment are sized in accordance with the provisions of the deck plan.
Standing blocks on bulwark for asymmetric spinnaker or code 0 can be provided and a complete set of turning blocks for the halyards, reef lines, sheets etc are standard.
8 x stainless steel folding padeyes for safety lines and harness mount points in cockpit.
Foot blocks at mast base for halyards. 2 foot chocks for helmsman positions.
Harken self tailing electric winches, two and three speed for mainsail, genoa sheets and halyards are fitted in the cockpit.
Delta main anchor
Std electric anchor windlass recessed below deck inside the anchor locker and equipped with a wired remote control. A remote panel can be located at the helm pedestal so as a chain counter on windlass.
