The Freedom 38 is designed to maximize all elements of hull & rig to create power, ease, and greater safety. She's designed to offer a single, competent helmsman great performance. A single- or short-handed crew can go where and when they like. This magnificent sailing yacht is maybe the most maneuverable - easier to control, and therefore safer. (And a yacht that makes her owner look good!) She's designed for cruising and living aboard, and below, her hospitable cabins give fine attention to detail.
"Fearless" has been well maintained and upgraded. She's clean and in very good condition - ready to take her new owners on new adventures!
Fearless
Builder Freedom Yachts
Designer Gary Mull
LOA 38 ft 0 in
Beam 12 ft 6 in
LWL 31 ft 0 in
Maximum Draft 4 ft 0 in
Engine Brand Yanmar
Engine Model 3GM30F
Engine Hours 647
Fuel Tanks (35 Gallons)
Holding Tanks (12 Gallons)
Dimensions
Ballast 6,180, lead
Displacement 14,050
Engines
Total Power 30
Cruising Speed 6
Max Speed 7.5
Tanks
Fresh Water 110 g. There's plenty of storage with (2) lockers, a hanging locker, drawers and shelves. (The lockers are lined to eliminate condensation and add to a well finished look.). Surrounding each flat surface is a riser, gently rounded at the corners, to secure objects placed there. Also there is private access to the , which features a vanity with sink and storage below, head with large shower area, and numerous lockers and small cabinets. The features an L-shaped settee to port (that converts to a double berth) with storage lockers with louvered doors and shelves outboard and above. The bulkhead-mounted table has a large drop-leaf expanding to an impressive dining table (also with gently rounded risers around the edge). There's custom cabinetry to store wine bottles, dishes, etc. against the bulkhead that is concealed when the table is folded up - which opens up generous floorspace. To starboard, there's a straight settee with lockers outboard and above. The starboard clothes locker has been reduced for a counter top for a very nice size TV. There are bulkhead-mounted reading lights with swivels. The opening hatch above, and large opening ports make her bright and well-ventilated, and the 6'4" headroom creates a sense of openness. The U-shaped is to port. It's well-equipped with everything you'll need to do real cooking. Even the trash in its place, in the lazarette accessed by a pass-thru hatch. (More details below.) The is opposite to starboard with plenty of room for the electronics, and a good-sized, well-lit chart table, and a bench that swings out from beneath. The starboard features a large double berth (6'6" x 5'), a good changing area, reading lamps, storage locker and shelves. There's a wet locker at the foot of the companionway, and the insulated engine compartment is aft of the companionway.Headroom 6'4"Varnished cherry & teak joinerworkSolid wood doors, beautifully framedTeak & holly cabin solePioneer AM/FM stereo with 12 disc CD changer Speakers in salon and cockpitHarwich clock & barometer12V Cabin fans(7) Overhead red & white dome lightsFlorescent lightsReading lamps on bulkheads with swivels
Galley
Gimballed Force 10, 3-burner stove with oven, propaneRemote controlled solenoid valve for fuel shut offAdler-Barbour 12V refrigerationGE Microwave6 gal. (And a yacht that makes her owner look good!) Self-vanging and self-tacking camber spar jib, lazy jacks for easy handling of sails, single-line reefing allows reef to be made from the safety of the cockpit in 25 seconds! The unstayed Carbon Fiber mast also frees the deck and hull of cumbersome rigging and compressive loading, and reduces the weight aloft - therefore increasing stability.
