The Catalina 34 is one of the most popular Catalina Yachts ever built and one of the best 34ft sailing boats on the market, designed to incorporate sailing performance with cruising comfort. For a 34ft boat the Catalina is surprisingly roomy inside. She is sloop rigged, fin keel, spade rudder with keel stepped mast. With stability in stiff winds and performance in light winds these spacious 34’s remain popular. Hideaway has seen many recent upgrades including a new Bata Marine engine installed Nov 2019. The toilet, hoses and holding tank were all replaced in 2018. This sale includes a professionally installed sand screw mooring in Hog Island on the popular south coast of Grenada. She is in the Caribbean and ready to go on her next adventure. ViewingbyappointmentatourGrenadaOffice call: 473 422 6418 email:info(at)clarkeandcarterCaribbean.com

We purchased the boat in 2016 in Saint Martin from well-known Youtubers Tasha Hacker and Ryan Horsnail (turftosurf.com) who have extensively cruised the Caribbean before deciding to sell the boat and buy a catamaran. From Saint Martin my wife and I (plus some of our friends) sailed to Grenada visiting and exploring all the beautiful islands on the way there. We enjoyed scuba diving and snorkeling at remote locations with no crowds around (we have uploaded some films from our trip on Vimeo). We decided to make Grenada our second home in winter and purchased a professionally installed mooring ball in a picturesque Hog Island Bay. Last season the original engine suffered a hydrolock and in December of 2019 was replaced with a new one (+ transmission, total investment well over $16,000). We love our Catalina (we have a second one in Canada which we sail in summer). The boat is seaworthy and exceptionally roomy for her size. At the present time however we are looking to buy a bigger boat in the 40 to 50 ft. range so we decided to put the boat on the market.
