This Jan Haring with a hull length of 8.50 meters was built in 1981 from steel and stands in a full 2 component paint system. The woodwork of the exterior consists entirely of teak and therefore requires minimal maintenance. To further minimize maintenance, the boat can be covered with a winter tent in winter. And for the sailing season, the cockpit can be covered with the summer tent that was delivered in spring 2018.
The engine of this boat is a 2 cylinder Volvo Penta MD 7-A diesel with 13 hp. The batteries are recharged by means of solar panels.
This Jan Haring is equipped with a deeper keel of 1.40 meters which has ensured that a larger rigging could be placed on the boat. This benefits the sailing characteristics with little wind. The sails wardrobe consists of a mainsail, foresail and a jib on a roller. All sails are made of brown Dacron cloth.
The interior of the boat has been decorated with great care. Starboard behind is a navigation table and a dog cage, on the port side is the galley with a gas burner and sink. In the middle of the boat is the sitting area which consists of an L-shaped and a longitudinal bench, which can be converted into a double bed. Further towards the forepeak there is an underwater toilet and a double bed.
