Construction
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Hull and deck of resin infused GRP.
- The hull is moulded in white. There is the option for a coloured hull to owner’s choice.
- The hull has fixed portlights providing light to the accommodation.
- The deck and superstructure are moulded in white.
- The exterior cockpit is laid in teak or teak equivalent.
- The foredeck has an opening hatch for access to the anchor locker. The coach roof includes a large skylight running down the centre providing light and air to the forward accommodation. Either side of the skylight are removable sun lounger cushions.
- The side decks are non-slip GRP (option Teak/Esthec (synthetic teak)).
- The superstructure has a curved front windscreen with pantograph wipers. The side windscreens run aft, and the starboard side has a door for access to and from the helm position.
- The top of the superstructure has a mast for mounting of nav, anchor lights and radar (option). There is also the option of an electric sliding sunroof.
Machinery
Engine & Gearboxes:
- 2 x Yanmar 8LV370 370hp engines with VC20 electronic controls and YD42 instrument displays at helm position.
- Wet exhaust system. Cooling water exits below the waterline.
- Sea water cooling for engine passes through strainers near inlet.
- A primary filter/water separator is fitted in addition to the engine fuel filter. A full fuel polishing system is available as an option.
- Option for other engines.
Maintenance & Performance:
- Cruising speed approx. 25 knots.
- Maximum speed approx. 30 knots
Propulsion & Steering:
- Shaft drive through stern tube and P bracket. Sureseal fitted to stern tube with flexible hose. Stern glands cooled from engine cooling system.
- Five bladed props.
- Helm position on starboard side of interior cockpit. Hydraulic system with greasers fitted to rudder tubes.
Electrical Systems
Voltage Systems:
- The DC electrical system is 12V.
- Control of the electrics is via a central panel which incorporates circuit breakers.
- Mains 230V AC is distributed throughout the yacht from a direct shore power connection via 1 x 16A socket.
- Mains 230V Vimar sockets are provided throughout the boat.
- A separate 230V circuit is provided for the immersion heater in the calorifier.
Battery Banks:
- 2 x 12V sealed lead acid batteries providing 210Amp hours at 12V for the domestic supply.
- There is an additional separate start battery for each engine.
Alternators:
- Charging of the service and engine battery banks is via 180A (12V) alternators.
Plumbing Systems
Fresh Water & Water Heating System:
- The pressurised fresh water system has a high capacity Flowjet pressure pump.
- Hot water is provided by a 40 litre calorifier. The water can be heated within the calorifier either by a 220V, 0.8kW immersion heater element or by the heat exchanger on the engines.
- Temperature of the water is controlled by a thermostat.
Bilge Pumps:
- Automatic bilge pump with switch to main panel that can be set to Off/On/Auto.
- Two manual Whale Compaq 50 bilge pumps, operated from interior and exterior cockpit areas.
- Bilge pump handles at each location of a manual pump.
Grey/Blackwater:
- The toilet pumps into a black tank. The black tank can be emptied to sea or can be emptied to a shore facility via a deck outlet.
- Black tank vented via no smells filter overboard.
- Shower and basins discharge directly overboard using a Whale Gulper IC pump via a two-way Whale IC manifold with electronic sensor.
- Full Grey water system available as an option.
Seacocks:
- Non-metallic skin fittings are used for all through hull openings.
Tankage
Fuel:
- Total fuel capacity of 265 gallons (1200 litres) in stainless steel tanks.
- Tank monitor senders providing accurate data via NMEA2000 network. Sight glasses also provided.
Fresh Water:
- Total fresh water capacity of 66 gallons (300 litres) in stainless steel tanks.
Gas System:
- One 4.5kg gas bottle is provided in the gas locker (room for 2).
- A gas regulator, pressure gauge and test point are located within the locker which is vented overboard.
- Electric solenoid gas cut-off by galley.
Domestic Equipment
Galley:
- The galley has a front opening fridge with a capacity of approx. 50 litres. Option for additional fridge or freezer unit.
Heads/Showers:
- 1 x electric toilet.
Lighting:
- Interior lighting is provided by LED downlighters and strip lighting throughout.
- Reading lights to cabins.
- Red/white lights to heads, red courtesy lights to helm area and companionway way steps.
- Engine room lights.
- Port and Starboard navigation lights are fitted to wheelhouse sides.
- A steaming, stern and anchor light are fitted to the mast.
Accommodation
Summary of Accommodation:
- 4 berths in 2 cabins.
- The saloon seating is upholstered in materials chosen from a selection to the owners’ choice.
- The seating is made using a fire-retardant foam.
- Quality composite fire retardant foam is used throughout the yacht.
- The joinery on all Rustlers is hand crafted to the highest standards by cabinet makers.
- Joinery is a mixture of solid oak or walnut, and marine grade veneered oak panels.
- All locker doors have solid edges, and each door is sunk back into the panel for a perfect fit.
- All joinery is finished with a matt satin varnish. (Alternative finishes available)
- Floors in the accommodation area and interior cockpit are made from a veneered marine plywood.
- All areas below the waterline are flow coated white.
- Areas above the waterline are carpeted and/or panelled. Panels are covered in fabric.
Description of layout from forwards:
Helm:
- Forward of the galley on the starboard side is the helm position.
- The helm console has wheel, throttle controls, engine gauges, anchor control and room for all navigational items.
Saloon / Galley:
- The interior galley on the starboard side has a gas oven with hob, a fridge, sink, bin, draw units and cupboard space for crockery and other items.
- Opposite the galley is a U-shaped saloon area with table. There is an option for a conversion into a double berth.
- The ‘wet bar’ is adjacent to the interior galley and provides a natural extension of this area.
Owner's Cabin:
- Owner's cabin is located forward.
- Double berth that can be accessed from both sides.
- There are drawers to the base of the berth for stowage.
- On the port and starboard side are hanging lockers and further cupboards and shelving.
Guest Cabin:
- Guest cabin accessed through a door on the port side at the bottom of the companionway steps.
- Twin berths that can slide to form a double.
- Stowage beneath berths.
- There is a large hanging locker and further stowage outboard.
Heads:
- The heads unit has an electric toilet, wash basin and separate showering area.
- There is a washbasin and a Corian surface with mixer tap and mirror.
- There are additional lockers outboard for stowage of toiletries.
- The shower area has a separate thermostatic shower control with shower head.
- The heads utilise composite mouldings and laminate bulkheads with wood trim around locker doors.
Exterior Cockpit:
- Seating at the aft end and access through the centre of this seating to the aft bathing platform.
- There is plenty of external storage in the cockpit area.
- There is an option for an exterior cockpit table.
- There is provision for storing fenders, mooring lines, and a life raft.
- The exterior cockpit leads to the interior via sliding doors.
Deck Equipment
General:
- Stainless pulpit running back to exterior cockpit with solid top rail.
- Stainless bow roller integrated into bow stem enabling shaft of anchor to stow neatly.
- Stainless fittings for fillers. 2 x deck filler for fuel, 1 x deck filler for water, 1 x black tank pump-out.
- Aft boarding platform with stainless swim ladder, folding cleats for dinghy.
- Option for lift platform with stowage for tender.
Anchoring & Mooring Equipment:
- Anchor locker located at the very bow of the boat accessed from the deck. The locker drains through scuppers to the exterior of the hull.
- 20kg Delta anchor.
- 40m of 9.5mm galvanised anchor chain.
- Electric anchor windlass.
- Eight stainless cleats and fairleads are fitted to the bow, midships and stern.
- 6 x fenders.
- Warps 4 x dock lines, 16mm, 2 x 15m, 2 x 10m.
